The exhibition, the book and the website will be launched on Thursday November 16th in the Eagles Hotel, Llanrwst, with guest speakers and live music from Tecwyn Ifan. I will also be doing a short presentation and there will be refreshment available. The evening starts at 6.30.
Following the lauch, the project will be touring round the rural area of the county for two months.

It will visit Llanrwst (Nov 16 & 18), Cerrigydrudion (Nov 28 & 29), Penmachno (Nov 30), Capel Garmon (Dec 1), Pentrefoelas (Dec 13 & 14), Dolwyddelan (Dec 15 & 16), Trefriw (Dec 20 & 21), Betws-yn-Rhos (Dec 22 & 23), Llansannan (Jan 9 &10), Melin-y-coed (Jan 12) and Ro-wen (Jan 13 & 14).
See the poster (or Conwy a’r Rhyfel Mawr facebook and twitter, or call 01492 642357) for further information.

As well as display boards summarizing the background of WW1, the situation of Wales and this area at the time, and some of the main stories that have come to light during the project the exhibition also features a large map showing the locations of the homes of every one which lost their lives (and when and where they died), along with photos of many of them. Relevant artifacts will also be displayed — changing from one location to another. The website will be projected as an interactive element of the exhibition.

There will be varying degrees of refreshment available in all the locations; a light buffet in some, and tea/coffee/biscuits in others.
There will also be live music at a number of the tour dates:
Gwilym Bowen Rhys at Cerrigydrudion (Nov 28)
Cynefin at Capel Garmon (Dec 1), Pentrefoelas (Dec 13) and Llansannan (Jan 9)

…and many more to be confirmed.
