Llanfair Talhaearn

The village of Llanfair Talhaearn sits on the banks of Afon Elwy around 5 miles to the south of Abergele. The village (and the parish) are named after St Talhaearn, and Llanfair’s most famous son — the poet John Jones — also adpoted a version of the name (Talhaiarn). As far as we can tell, 8 boys and men with links to this historical parish lost their lives due to the First World War.
