Henryd & Llangelynnin

The present-day parish of Henryd covers (more or less) the area of the old parish of Llangelynnin. The former name survives with the ancient church of Llangelynnin (high on Tal y Fan mountain) and the primary school in Henryd. The district lies on the western slopes of Dyffryn Conwy between Caerhun and Sychnant mountain and pass. As well as Henryd on the lower ground, the community of Llechwedd sits high in the north-west of the parish.
