Tri dyn ar ddeg ym mhedwar ban
A dau dan dir Do’ddelan

Dolwyddelan is a small village and agricultural community in the Lledr valley (in southern Conwy county). Moel Siabod looms over to the north-west, whilst the A470, the Conwy Valley railway and the Afon Lledr all run through the village itself. Between the village and the remote, southernmost reaches of the Lledr valley (Blaenau Dolwyddelan and Roman Bridge) stands Dolwyddelan Castle. This was one of the castles of the Princes of Gwynedd, and, according to tradition, the birthplace of Llywelyn fawr (Llywelyn the Great).
